Mid Year Market Trends Tiffin IA June 2015

Tiffin is close enough to Coralville and Iowa City to be a strong choice for buyers looking to buy a home in a more rural setting. Tiffin has so much going for it with the great schools and lots of new construction homes. I’ve been watching Tiffin for a while, waiting for a big jump in home sales. It hasn’t happened yet and it doesn’t look like 2015 is going to be that year. 30 homes sold in Tiffin from January – June 2015 compared to 30 homes sold in the same time frame in 2014. Yes, exactly the same number of homes sold in the first 6 months this year as last year. What are the odds of that?

  • There are currently 79 homes showing as Active Listings on the MLS and 13 homes are currently showing as Contingent or Sale Pending on the MLS – That translates into a 14% contract to listing ratio – That number is skewed low due to the large number of new construction homes on the market
