The mid year numbers are in for home sales in Iowa City and there are no surprises. The chart below shows that home sales are up slightly compared to 2013. Home Sales would be up more if there had been more homes on the market for buyers to make offers on!
The contract to listing ratio is at 32% – It’s still an active market in Iowa City, but not as active as it has been in the last few months. The inventory of homes on the market is going up, but there’s still a shortage of choices for buyers, especially in the lower and mid price ranges.
