Home sales in Coralville in 2015 were up 2% compared to 2014. 357 homes sold in Coralville in 2015 compared to 351 in 2014. Even if that number doesn’t seem very impressive, it is an improvement compared to last year’s review of homes sold in Coralville, when home sales were down 5% for the year.
2015 started out strong in Coralville, with home sales up 16% in the mid year market report for Coralville. The shortfall came in the second half of the year with home sales down 10% from July through December. I know buyers are out and about in Coralville as I’ve been busy throughout the winter months. With the inventory of homes low in Coralville buyers don’t have a lot of choices. It’s likely that was the reason for the lower number of homes sold in the second half of the year. The only way we will know that for sure is when more sellers list their home in the spring market and sales pick up in the coming months.
