Homes in Coralville come in a variety of styles and price ranges. The neighborhoods in the original City of Coralville is where you’ll find smaller, older homes, (often referred to as starter homes on the MLS). The further out you go from the original City of Coralville, the newer the selection of houses and styles becomes.
Styles range from ranch homes to two story and multi level homes, depending on the era they were built in. What you won’t find much of in Coralville is much in the way of historic homes. Coralville’s development started after World War II and really took off after the building of I-80 in the 1960’s. I relocated to Coralville from Europe in 2000 and it’s unbelievable how much it’s changed in the last two decades. It’s a surprise to me that they’re still finding pockets of land to build on. Sandwiched between North Liberty and Iowa City, you’d think we’d run out of space at some point. So far it hasn’t happened and the Bridgewater Subdivision is a good example of that. Right in the heart of Coralville, it’s a neighborhood I walk pretty much on a daily basis. More on that another time though. Suffice to say, there are many options for homebuyers in Coralville.
