What a great little house and what a great location! We sold this one in a few days – Right after we took it off the market for the Holidays and re-listed it in the New Year! (Re-listed on January 2nd and under contract by the 9th). Yes, that’s the Iowa City market for you. Houses downtown go like hot cakes at certain times of the year. You just need to know when that is. That’s where working with an agent who knows the market and tells it like it is pays off. Fortunately I was working with a seller who took my advice and understood how the Iowa City market works. The house sits on a nice, regular sized lot with a large, private backyard. It’s the second house from the end of the street on a cul-de-sac and the kids next door were playing out the front while I was there. It’s such a nice, private neighborhood it’s hard to believe how close it is to downtown! As you can see from the photos, it was vacant. I had my work cut out for me keeping it showing ready – Especially in Fall when those leaves were falling.
