Downtown Iowa City is one of my favorite places to take a stroll on a nice sunny day. It has so much style and character with something for everyone. The best part is that somehow Iowa City has managed to combine the old with new without losing any of its charm. There are beautiful historic buildings alongside newer state of the art buildings. It is quite a feat not to mess that up!
My hard drive is full of photos I’ve taken when I’m out and about and today I created a video slide show of some of the nicest photos of the downtown area around the Old Capitol Building. One thing you will notice right away is that downtown Iowa City is very green. Lots of trees and lots of green spaces. If you’re relocating to Iowa City you’ll appreciate that. I certainly do. We have a lot of folks move here for the UIOWA or the UI Hospitals and they only stay a few years, but they take fond memories away with them. I know this, because I “meet” people online all the time who tell me so. When you look at the photos you can see why!
